Thank you for visiting my website.  Photography is my passion!  I enjoy taking pictures of a wide and diverse range of subjects especially those associated with the natural world.

Wild birds and animals are high on my list of favourite subjects in the same way that I enjoy capturing beautiful landcapes so that I can share my pleasure with others.  I am sometimes accused of virtually stalking my young granddaughter in an effort to get that extra special natural looking shot but despite being a nuisance sometimes I think my family are always pleased to recieve the annual calandar each Christmas in which of course she takes centre stage!

My attraction to birds and animals goes further than just getting a sharp 'shot' of a particular species!  What I am really trying to achieve is to not only capture the shear beauty of the creature but also to record elements of their behaviour so that the viewer can appreciate some of the fascinating things that go on in the lives of some of our wonderful and diverse wildlife.

In order to capture sharp and detailed close shots of birds and animals I often deploy a portable hide in order to avoid revealing myself to my quarry. Most of my wildlife shots are taken with the camera set on a tripod. My camera equipment is currently a Nikon D800 with a 400mm F2.8 Nikon lens combined with additional 1.4 or 2x converters when required. I use a Nikon 17 -55mm F2.8 lens for most of my landscape work together with a Nikon 70-200 F2.8 for eveything else. A circular polarising filter is pretty much essential in my view.

This website shows you a selection of my images, from urban landscapes to the very wildest of animals or rare birds. Any of these images can be purchased in a range of formats including greeting cards, prints, canvas, framed prints, posters or calendars as per your requirements. All you need to do is contact me via the Contact Me Form and I will get back to you very quickly to discuss your requirements.

I really hope you enjoy looking at my images as much as I have enjoyed capturing them! Please feel free to contact me via the Contact Form if you are interested in my work.  Make sure you visit my site regularly as I am continually updating it with my very 'best shots'. See you soon!
